Green detoxing cleansing juice
The perfect detoxing cleansing juice to help you remove toxins and stress from your body.
2 medium-sized green apples (or 1 big one)
10-20 g ginger (to taste)
100 g spinach
juice of 1 lime
100 ml water
Simply juice all ingredients and you are all set for your quick and healthy green pick-me-up!
Make sure apples and spinach are washed.
Ginger is well-known for its many medicinal health benefits (namely against bacterial infections, indigestion and sore throat).
As with all juices and smoothies, they are a good breakfast alternative for these days when you don’t have enough time to prepare a full breakfast and you simply have to rush to the office or your errands.
The more water you add the easier it is to drink the juice, but it will dilute some of the tasty flavours in the process.
If you don’t have a juicer, you can still use a blender and then with a strainer you can remove the pulp (i.e. insoluble fibre). Although fibre is very healthy for your digestive system and slows down the absorption of sugar (helping in a way to regulate your insulin levels), it also slows down the absorption of nutrients. This means that if you use a blender without disposing off the pulp your body will not absorb 100% of all nutrients, even though the drink will be more satisfying (and ideal for a quick breakfast on the go).
